My family likes to play the movie line game. We will quote a line from a movie and everyone tries to guess what movie it is from. We did this at the dinner table a lot. We still enjoy playing it when we are together.
When I was young, we'd have to sit, in order of age on our stairs and get our picture taken before opening our presents on Christmas morning. It's fun to look back and see everyone together through the years and how we changed.
Eric and I were just talking about this the other day!!! We concluded that most of our family traditions growing up were centered around food. We decided that we are going to change things up a bit for our family. We have started planning things into our schedules so that we can do active things as a family...like "Eames Family Day" were we celebrate our first date. Maybe there will be a "Taco Tuesday" in the mix somewhere..you never know!
But my ALL TIME FAVORITE tradition that Eric and I have started recently is "Mushie Monday" where we send eachother a heartfelt mushie e mail telling eachother of our grattitude and love for eachother. It really helps us connect when we are running it seems in a zillion different directions! :)
When my parents first got married, my dad agreed to cook every Monday. He made tacos every Monday. Growing up, we had tacos every Monday. And now, all of us in our own homes still have tacos on Mondays!
P.S. My family probably has too many traditions - I think it drives David crazy sometimes.
In my growing-up family we have a tradition of starting traditions! Every year we find something that would be fun to do and we agree to make it a tradition, but we've forgotten it by the next year.
Since Brent and I have been married we've had Butterscotch Sticky buns for Christmas Breakfast. It's nice to have someone around who remembers what we do :)
For Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners my Mom always made her Pumpkin chiffon pie and Orange glazed yams-alot of our traditions are about food-and every time each of our children have their 4th birthdays we go to Disneyland as a family-(which is an expensive tradition but still fun:)

Cheree, we had to do that too. It went oldest first to youngest in the back.
